JIC Venture Growth Investments (VGI) has acquired the share in TRUSTDOCK Inc.(TRUSTDOCK) through its JIC Venture Growth Fund 2 (VGF2).

TRUSTDOCK is a company that provides online Customer Due Diligence (CDD)* centered on eKYC** adapted to various business laws and industries.

In recent years, as the DX of services and transactions has progressed, criminal acts such as impersonation, money laundering, and inflow of funds into criminal organizations and troubles between users have occurred. Under the circumstances, KYC when using online services is becoming more important. By providing online CDD services including eKYC, TRUSTDOCK not only prevents illegal fund inflows and crimes, but also contributes to the safety and comfortable use of web services for consumers. Furthermore, by digitizing CDD operations, which are increasing with the progress of DX, paper and mailing costs, manpower, etc. will be reduced, and it is expected to have a positive impact on the management resources and environmental resources of Japanese industry.

With this investment, TRUSTDOCK aims to spread and expand the online CDD service to each company, strengthen the organizational structure, and grow as an infrastructure of the digital society. In addition, in cooperation with government policies such as My Number Cards, TRUSTDOCK will accelerate the development of a digital ID wallet that allowsconsumers to manage their own personal data.
