We are pleased to announce that JIC Venture Growth Investments Co., Ltd. (VGI), through its JIC Venture Growth Fund 1 (VGF1), has made an investment in KUMONOS Corporation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter KUMONOS Corporation).

Experienced construction surveying, exterior wall diagnosis and structural inspections -KUMONOS Corporation is in possession of excellent skills and technologies supporting Japanese physical and modern social infrastructure. Spatial surveying and monitoring using 3D laser scanners has been actively developed and implemented in recent years. It has begun to be widely used not only in construction and civil engineering, but also in various industries and business formats. Further rapid expansion of 3D spatial data utilization is anticipated in the closest future.

The significance of this investment is in contribution to maintenance, management and thus extending longevity of Japan's social capital stock (roads, tunnels, bridges, etc.) by promoting DX (Digital Transformation) in construction and civil engineering industries through KUMONOS Corporation. In addition, we also plan to contribute this goal through further expansion of 3D laser scanners usage within wider variety of companies and organizations (previously predominantly used by narrowly specialized entities), and proactively integratingnewly created forms of 3D content in various applications to Japanese society as a whole.

With this investment, we aim to support, strengthen and scale up business foundation of KUMONOS Corporation and promote DX by establishing a firm position as a platformer for3D spatial data.
